Joseph J. Fahey, CFA, MBA is senior vice president and national director of Business Planning, Wealth Planning Group for Wells Fargo. He has served as financial advisor exclusively to owners of privately held and family controlled business for the past 25 years. He has developed financial models for companies and their shareholders to help them with their ownership transition (keep vs. sell) strategies. In addition, to the keep vs. sell analysis, he has helped companies with their buy-sell agreements, negotiated internal buy-outs of shareholders, and designed executive compensation and incentives plans. Mr. Fahey also has experience establishing family business governance guidelines and managing and coaching family meetings.
